WATCH: No wrongdoing by CR17 campaign, Ramaphosa insists

President Cyril Ramaphosa has hit back at critics who have suggested that there was alleged corrupt activities by the #CR17Campaign after leaked emails and bank statements were revealed last week.

He was answering a question by Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) leader Julius Malema in the National Assembly on Thursday.
"In its funding and its activities, there was no wrongdoing, no criminality and no abuse of public funds or resources. We must note that those who contributed to the campaign in whatever capacity, did so out of a genuine concern for the future of our country.”

Ramaphosa said members of the executive who were involved in the campaign doesn’t owe anyone an apology.
