Updated | By Sinethemba Madolo
A Limpopo school has suspended nine of its pupils after a fight broke out between pupils, some of whom
appear to be armed with pangas.
Provincial education spokesperson Sam Makondo says they are investigating the matter.
"We learned with shock from community members that some learners were involved in a street fight after school in the village streets. We shall learn more about what could have triggered the fight as and when they appear in front of the disciplinary hearings," Makondo says.

Makondo says one pupil was injured during the incident.
"Our learners deserve to be safe in the streets. And I'd like to thank the community members that informed us about this incident.”
