WATCH: Pearl Shongwe to be laid to rest in Soweto
Updated | By Cliff Shiko
The funeral of SABC broadcaster Pearl Shongwe will be held in Diepkloof Zone 1 Soweto on Saturday.
She died in her sleep last week in Johannesburg at the age of 35.
Shongwe worked at YFM and later became a presenter on SABC 1 and SABC News as well as a newsreader on Metro FM.
Family spokesperson Khehla Tshabalala says they are still trying to come to terms with her sudden passing.
"When you loose your loved one its a challenge, we have not started mourning. Her mother is still trying to accept her passing, is just so bad. It is expected that parents should not bury their kids, but kids should be the ones burying their parents.
Shongwe will be laid to rest at the Nasrec Memorial Park.
