We have our eye on the suburbs and townships, warns top Tshwane metro cop

Tshwane Mayor Randall Williams has urged motorists to change their behaviour and obey the rules of the road during the Easter holidays.
The mayor launched the city’s Easter safety campaign on the N1 Carousel Toll Plaza on Thursday afternoon.
Williams said the carnage on the roads is mostly due to errant drivers.
"The ones that use the roads, please use the roads respectfully, respect the other road users.
"And please obey the road rules, by doing that all of us would arrive safely at our destinations. That is our focus," said the Williams.
The mayor said law enforcement in the city would not tolerate any drinking and driving.
Acting Tshwane metro police chief Basil Nkhwashu said his department would be monitoring suburbs and townships this long weekend.
"In the previous years, we covered the main routes, and people misbehaved in the suburbs and townships.
"So, this time we have a plan now that people in the suburbs and townships are just as safe," said Nkhwashu.
