Rhino Files: How to get involved
Updated | By Bronwyn Hardick
The number of rhinos getting poached is getting higher by the week, with the latest tally of rhinos poached in 2013 sitting at over 760!
We need to do everything we can to stop rhino poaching and save our rhino!
Here are some ways in which you can get involved:
Dog colloars:
You’ve heard of the tracker dogs that work with the anti poaching units in parks and now your dog can also join the fight against poaching! Dog collars are now available from www.StopRhinoPoaching.com Various sizes are available and proceeds go to stop rhino poaching.
Hawks Hotline:
If you suspect anything may be threatening rhinos in your area, or if you have any information which you believe could help lead to an arrest, please call the Hawks Rhino Hotline on 071 348 8630 - All calls are confidential.
Barnyard Party:
On Saturday, 2 November, the Barney Simon and the Parkview Barnyard Theater will be hosting a 80's and 90's party as a fundraiser for the Purple Rhino Project
