Bulls’ scrum gives them firm footing

The DHL Stormers face a must-win clash against the Vodacom Bulls at Loftus on Saturday, aiming to fix scrum issues and climb the URC table.

DHL Stormers
X: DHL Stormers

The DHL Stormers head to Loftus Versfeld this Saturday, hoping to repeat the smash-and-grab tactics that saw the Hollywoodbets Sharks overcome the Vodacom Bulls at the same ground nearly two weeks ago.

However, doing so won’t be easy. The visitors will face immense pressure up front, especially in the scrum.

When the teams last met in Cape Town, the Stormers’ scrum was under heavy attack, and this is one area they must address if they want to secure a victory in Pretoria.

'To The Last Drop' hosts Brenden Nel and Liam Del Carme both agree that the Stormers are in must-win territory. A win would be crucial for lifting them from their current 10th position on the United Rugby Championship points table.

The hosts discuss the Emirates Lions' chances of toppling the Sharks, with the consensus being that the Sharks are the firm favourites, thanks to their proven ability to win at altitude.

This week's episode also pays tribute to retiring Springbok and Stormers prop Steven Kitshoff.
