Can you help the beleaguered Boks?

Let's not kid ourselves - Springbok rugby is in a shocking state right now.

Head coach Allister Coetzee, it seems, will be given a reprieve by SARU until at least after the incoming tour by France in June after a dismal return in 2016 which read:

Won: 4

Lost: 8

Drew: 1

Unlike Coetzee, Eddie Jones, has revived English rugby and took them to Six Nations Grand Slam glory last year and an impressive record-equalling 14 match winning streak.

Jones has now renewed his working relationship with South African 'eye guru' Dr Sherylle Calder, who, along with Jones, was part of Jake White's Springbok backroom staff in their 2007 World Cup triumph in France.

But some, if not most players may not, however, take to kindly to some of Calder's proven methods.

England's players will have their access to mobile phones limited in the build-up to the 2019 World Cup.

Calder, a former South African national hockey player, believes the use of mobile phones and tablets inhibits mental awareness and she has imposed a crackdown on the use of electronic devices.

"In the modern world the ability of players to have good awareness is deteriorating by the nature of mobile phones," Calder said in comments published by British newspapers.

It's an approach that might just aid a broken Springbok team as well.
