Chad le Clos wins best male athlete in Africa

Chad le Clos has another award to add to his trophy cabinet.

Le Clos won the trophy for Best Male Athlete from Africa at the Association of National Olympic Committee Gala Awards in Prague on Thursday night.
"I am truly humbled to win this award and a big thank you to everyone back home in South Africa who has supported me. It’s been a tough 18 months and this is a big award," le Clos said upon winning.

In July, le Clos won the men's 200m butterfly gold medal at the world championships.
The 2012 Olympic champion, clocked one minute 53.33 seconds with Hungary's Cseh, 0.39sec behind, taking silver and Japan's Daiya Seto earning bronze at 0.88sec.
