Chiefs, Pirates set to renew rivalry in Soweto derby

The Soweto derby is set to light up this weekend’s Premiership action.
Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs will renew their rivalry on Saturday afternoon at the FNB Stadium, with a capacity crowd of 90,000 expected.
Pirates are in fifth place on the log, just one point ahead of Chiefs.
Chiefs' coach Cavin Johnson says the Soweto derby is always something special.
“The build-up to the derby is always something different. We know we have something to hold on to. We’ve had clean sheets in the last seven games. It gives you a little bit of confidence going into the derby.
“The players know and have to understand that there are 90,000 people going out there… but the most important thing is to go out there and play for the badge.”
Chiefs’ longest-serving player, Itumeleng Khune, has rejoined the team after being suspended by the club in December.
Khune was suspended after allegedly arriving for training under the influence of alcohol.
