In Formula One anything can happen, and all the pieces fell into place for Red Bull and Max Verstappen last weekend at the Belgium GP. After a grid penalty for changing of engine parts Verstappen fought through the pack from 14th to win his ninth Grand Prix of 2022.

Brent Vd Schyff, Motoring and Motorsport Journalist from TopGear South Africa explained, “He had an absolutely perfect weekend, no one could touch him. He did it in such a calm manner it’s like he was checking his emails and reading a newspaper at the same time.”

On the other hand Gary Formato, Motorsport Analyst, expressed in the latest episode of Track This how this could affect the other drivers. “What was quite daunting for everyone else, is how calm he was when he went through the pack. Max is normally quite aggressive and forceful in his driving, and he was very calm.”

After this stellar performance, all Verstappen needs is four wins from the remaining eight races to win his second world championship title.

Track This Host Kriya Gangiah still has some hope for her beloved Daniel Ricciardo, “I think everyone in the crowd with the orange smoke is secretly supporting the papayas.”
