Former Springbok Chiliboy Ralepelle handed 8-year doping ban

Former Springbok hooker Chiliboy Ralepelle has been handed an eight-year doping ban, the South African Institute for Drug Free Sport (Saids) announced on Wednesday.
The 33-year-old player tested positive for the banned anabolic agent Zeranol during an out-of-competition test in January last year.
The ban will in all probability bring down the curtain on the player’s career.
South African Institute for Drug-Free Sport CEO Khalid Galant says the hearing and case has finally concluded with a decision handed down this week by the Independent Doping Tribunal Panel.
"They found the player, Chiliboy Ralepelle, guilty of a doping offence. This is his third positive doping fine in his rugby career.
"So they handed down the eight-year ban from sports and it will expire in 2027.”
