Cricket South Africa has appointed Graeme Smith to lead its new T20 League.

Smith, who was CSA’s director of cricket until recently, will oversee both the cricketing and non-cricketing aspects of the new tournament.
“Among his first orders of business will be to develop the brand and confirm the participating franchises for the cricket fest to take place annually in South Africa,” CSA said in a statement on Tuesday.
The inaugural event is scheduled to take place in January and February 2023.
“I’m extremely honoured to be entrusted with leading this exciting new venture,” said Smith.
