Kekana nominated for FIFA 'Best Goal' award

Bafana Bafana and Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Hlompo Kekana has been nominated for FIFA's Goal of the Year award.
Kekana, who also captained Masandawana to the CAF Champions League title, was nominated for netting with an incredible long range kick against Cameroon in an Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier.
Football fans across the world can decide which of the ten goals chosen by FIFA and selected Football Committee members will win the award.
Kekana features on the initial shortlist with the likes of the iconic Lionel Messi and Neymar of Barcelona.
The FIFA Puskás Award was created in 2009 in honour of Ferenc Puskás, the captain and star of the Hungarian national team during the 1950's.
The award winners, which include the individual player and coaching awards, will be revealed at the FIFA Awards show on 9 January next year.
