Lions unveil new Super Rugby jerseys
Updated | By Jacasport
The Emirates Lions and kit supplier Canterbury have unveiled the strip for the 2017 Vodacom Super Rugby Series. The Lions were the surprise package last season when they went all the way to the final before losing to the Chiefs.
“The new jersey is a return to the classic lines and colours that is associated with the Lions Brand, but with new exciting technical innovations – it’s ideal midway where tradition meets design,” explains Edgar Rathbone, Commercial and Financial Officer of the Lions Rugby Company (Pty) Ltd.
“We feel that the
simple design and clear lines really make their (the sponsors) logo’s stand out
which will see them receive fantastic value in 2017,” Rathbone continued.
The jersey will again have the Autism Blue Number in support of the Els for Autism Foundation sported on the back.
The new Emirates Lions jersey will be in most sport stores as of Friday 9 December as well as at the Canterbury shop at Emirates Airline Park.
