POLL: Would you rather see Aussie or All Black tears?

As Australia and New Zealand prepare to engage one another in the Rugby World Cup Final, which of the two would you rather see reduced to tears on Saturday -- The Aussie or the All Blacks ?

The semi-final ended up being an all southern-hemisphere shootout, with either South Africa or Argentina now having to settle for world rugby's consolation prize.

The Boks last contested a bronze medal playoff in 1999 when they edged New Zealand 22-18 in Wales, while the Pumas hammered France 34-10 in 2007.

I am not here to debate the merits of third-fourth place playoff's though, which have often been labelled inconsequential, but there is always pride at stake when one pulls a country's national jersey over one's head.

Like it or not, it's a Wallabies-All Blacks final at the home of rugby and that will be the focus of attention this weekend, with one of the two rugby-mad nations set to be crowned world champions for a third time..

Yes, a spirit of sportsmanship and mutual respect exists between the three Rugby Championship contenders, as was witnessed in the recent exchanges between Bok coach Heyneke Meyer and his All Black opposite number Steve Hansen.

For most Springbok fans, though, seeing Aussie or Kiwi glory on the rugby field is still a bitter pill to swallow, especially after getting one over the men in green and gold in the most important game in four years.

So, will you be rushing to get a seat in front of the TV come Saturday evening (Kick-off 18h00 SA time) and if so, which of the cross-Tasman rivals will you be backing?

I know there is still a large element of South Africans who historically still back the All Blacks and refuse to get behind the Boks, but is there really a lesser of the two evils for you as a rugby enthusiast?

Or, put simply, don't you really give a damn?
