RWC 95' Bok teammates expected at Joost Memorial

The memorial service of South African rugby legend, Joost van der Westhuizen is set to commence promptly at 12:30 from Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria. Those attending are encouraged to arrive early.

In honour of the legend and the contribution he made to South African rugby, all members of the public are urged to wear green and gold on Friday. In addition, all are welcome to attend the memorial service.
Speakers who will be featured in the programme include: Honourable Minister of Sport and Recreation, Mr Fikile Mbalula, Deputy Minister Mr Gert Oosthuizen, 1995 Rugby World Cup Winning Captain - Mr Francois Pienaar and World Rugby Chairman - Mr Bill Beaumont. PJ Powers and other performers will be part of the programme.
The 1995 Rugby World Cup winning team will also be in attendance to pay their final respects to their team mate and friend.
Due to limited parking, members of the public are urged to park at various Tshwane University of Technology campuses and avail themselves to the bus services which will transport people from the parking to the stadium.
The public are reminded that the Loftus Versfeld is an alcohol free zone.
