SA men’s hockey team records historic win over Germany
Updated | By Karabo Tebele
The South African men’s hockey team recorded an historic 4-3 victory over the Olympics Games in Tokyo.

The teams were locked at 3-3 after goals from Matthew Guise-Brown, Keenan Horne and Nicholas Spooner, before Mustapha Cassiem's strike in the 48th minute that got the South Africans over the line.
The impressive win against the world’s 5th ranked side followed defeats in Pool B against Great Britain, Netherlands and Belgium.
South Africa have one match remaining in Pool B when they take on Canada on Friday, but even a victory won’t be enough for them to qualify for the quarter-finals.
