Sascoc comfortable with what it has done for Sunette Viljoen
Updated | By JacarandaFM News
The South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee (Sascoc) says it is comfortable with the assistance its provided to Olympic javelin silver medallist Sunette Viljoen over the years.
This after Viljoen took to Twitter to lash out at SASCOC, accusing it of not lending enough support to athletes and even requesting a probe into the R70 million SASCOC received from the National Lottery.
If there's 1 organisation that needs urgent investigation, it is Sascoc. Start with R70 million donation by the Lottery 2 weeks before Rio.

Money again promised the medallists. Hope to see it within the next year. The begging is set to begin.

Sascoc President Gideon Sam has made it clear that a response is not warranted from the country's Olympic governing body.
Sam said Sascoc has no obligation to respond to accusations levelled against it.
"We cannot formulate a response because we know what we have done for Sunette. Let her have a field day. We are comfortable with how we have helped her over the years. It would really be an injustice on the side of Sascoc to respond to those kind of comments," Sam said.
South Africans came out in support of Viljoen after she took to social media.
