Springboks and England to clash at Twickenham in 2021
Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
South Africa and England will clash at Twickenham in November as part of the Springboks’ three-match tour of Europe.
It will be the first meeting between the two sides since the 2019 Rugby World Cup final and the first at Twickenham since 2018.
England announced the big clash on Tuesday as part of their 2021 Autumn Internationals.
It follows on from last week’s announcement of the Test against Scotland a week earlier, on 13 November in Edinburgh.
“Any match involving England and the Springboks is always special,” says SA Rugby’s director of rugby Rassie Erasmus.
“England are an incredibly proud rugby nation and in Eddie Jones they have an astute coach who will no doubt be working on a plan to outsmart the Springboks for our rematch at Twickenham.
“The history and rivalry between our two countries always make for a great contest and we are looking forward to play the English at their Twickenham fortress where it will require a special performance to match them.”
