Long-serving stalwart of The Unlimited Titans and one of the blue chip players produced by the franchise the past ten years, Heino Kuhn, has been appropriately acknowledged for his sensational contribution to the franchise by being awarded a benefit year.

Kuhn's benefit year runs from January 2016 to December 2016.

In most cases, a benefit year is awarded to coincide with the impending retirement of a star on the wane, retreating under the inevitable onslaught of age, but the opposite is true of Kuhn, who launched his benefit at a breakfast at SuperSport Park on Wednesday.

Kuhn is fast closing in on the ultimate milestone for any first-class batsman - achieving 1000 runs in a season.

He has struck 854 runs in the four-day Sunfoil Series competition so far at an average of 71.16 for The Unlimited Titans in the 2015/2016-season.

If his purple patch persists, he could be on course to become the first batsman since 2009/2010 to chalk up 1000 runs in a domestic first-class season. In 118 matches, he has accumulated 8026 runs at an average of 43.61.

Trevor Cramer, who has known and watched Kuhn since he was a junior cricketer, decided to go inside and find out from Titans coach Rob Walter and teammate Henry Davids about some of Kuhn's locker room oddities.

And this is how Kuhn himself responds to his teammates' jibes:
