Twitter reacts to Coetzee keeping his job
Updated | By Trevor Cramer
The decision by SA Rugby to give Springbok coach Allister Coetzee a lifeline following the team’s dismal performances in 2016 has been met with a fair deal of predictable scepticism from rugby fans on twitter.
Springbok fans in general seem devoid of benevolence and a
predominantly negative thread prevailed through social media platforms, some
even to the point of outright disgust and rudeness.
But it is Coetzee who has remained positive through the laborious SA Rugby coaching review process and quietly got on with the job of strategically preparing for what lies in wait for the Boks in 2017.
He just seems intent on getting on with the job and welcoming the input of the backroom staff provided for him by SA Rugby, coupled with the franchise coaches.

I feel like a kid brother waiting for his older sibling to return from college!
Lol, so they don’t actually see that Allister Coetzee is NOT the prebrem? hahaha, you can change him but the ‘system’ is THE prebrem??

Allister Coetzee has been retained as springbok coach much to the chagrin of the boys but let's hope things improve a lot this year

The decision by #SARU to keep #AllisterCoetzee as national coach was a good one. It is a poison chalice and he needs 100% support to win.

Allister Coetzee to remain as @Springboks coach. Great news for every other team in the world and bad news for SA rugby. ???????? #Springboks

Leicester City won the league and they still sacked Ranieri. The Springboks had their worst year ever and they're keeping Allister Coetzee!
