American tennis star John McEnroe was once known to the tennis world as "Superbrat". We think we have found a successor to the throne.

The former world number 1, now a respected tennis broadcaster and analyst, is still rated as one of the greatest of all time in the sport and unrivalled still today in touch on the volley tennis.

But, it seems tennis has found another bad boy to add to the list of potential successors in Italian Fabio Fognini, who may eventually make McEnroe look like Mother Theresa by comparison.

The 20th seed Fognini, who is romantically linked to defending US Open women's singles champion Falvia Panetta, was ousted in the first round of the Australian Open by Giles Muller of Luxembourg.

His fiery Italian temper and passion on court didn't escape the cameras though and he was constantly loitering on the edge of Code of Conduct violations.

Yes, the temperamental Aussie Nick Kyrgios has had his run-in's with umpires, while the colourful Turk Marcos Baghdatis has also had some memorable outbursts on court.

Aussie Leyton Hewitt would also feature on my list of the game's top six bad boys, while Hewitt's compatriot Bernard Tomic has also been in hot water at times for his fiery temper.
