Social media footage shows earthquake rip through Mexico
Updated | By Lee-Roy Wright
Mexico City has been shaken by a powerful earthquake that has already killed more than 100 people.
Terror and hordes of screaming citizens filled the streets of Mexico as an earthquake ripped through Mexico City on Tuesday.
The U.S. Geological Survey measured Tuesday's earthquake at magnitude 7.1, with its center just southeast of Mexico City.
The irony around it all is that the earthquake hit Mexico City and surrounding states on the anniversary of a devastating earthquake which took place decades ago. A powerful earthquake shook the city 32 years ago, killing thousands.
Frightening videos came in on Twitter showing the moment the quake hit the capital city.
