Updated | By Lee-Roy Wright
Adé van Heerden, who was runner-up at the Miss SA 2017 pageant, was 'crowned' Miss South Africa by Martin and Tumi earlier on Monday.
Adé van Heerden, a medical doctor and second lieutenant in the South African Military Health Services, will now be your Miss South Africa 2017 thanks to Breakfast Show hosts Martin and Tumi.
On Sunday, reigning Miss South Africa Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters was crowned Miss Universe 2017. This means that runner-up van Heerden will wear the South African crown for the duration of the year.
Nel-Peters will jet off to New York City to perform her duties as Miss Universe 2017 while residing in a luxury apartment and earning a salary too.
So, it's only fitting that we crown the new Miss South Africa, right?
With the help of former Miss South Africa Liesl Laurie, who is also our traffic presenter, van Heerden was presented with the title.
Take a listen to the hilarious 'crowning' of Adé van Heerden as your new Miss South Africa 2017...
