Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters reflects on how she defended herself during the attempted hijacking.
Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters has already won the hearts of many in South Africa.
Recently, she was involved in an attempted hijacking that shocked the nation. The Miss SA Twitter account confirmed the news shortly after the incident took place.
In light of the attempted hijacking incident this evening, @official_missSA can confirm that Demi-Leigh is safe and unharmed.

She joined us in studio earlier today to unpack what exactly happened the moment she was confronted by the hijacker.
She recalls being in heels during peak time traffic when the incident took place. The incident took place on Wednesday the 7th of June and Demi-Leigh recalls the moment she 'throat punched' the man.
