16-year-old boy arrested in Gauteng
Updated | By Breakfast with Martin Bester
We hear a
lot of things in the world that is hard to believe it is true. A teen made
headlines for doing the unthinkable.
Especially something that happened in Gauteng. A 16-year-old boy was arrested on the R55 near Laudium for driving at 168km/h in a 60km/h zone.
It has been reported that the boy stole his father’s Volswagen Golf GTI and used it without his parents’ permission.

Provincial community safety spokesperson Ofentse Morwane said in a statement on Tuesday that officers noticed the high speeding car and tried to stop the vehicle.
The minor, however, did not stop when the officers tried to approach the vehicle but instead made a run for it and struck a barricade at a construction site.
The teen will be facing charges of irresponsible and negligent driving, going above the general speed limit of 60km/h, driving without a licence and defeating the ends of justice.
Have you witnessed anything like this before?
