AB de Villiers surprises young cricket sensation

Josh Anderson, 14, recently set a new school record of 375 runs during a cricket match at his school.
On Wednesday, Martin Bester spoke to cricket sensation Josh Anderson and surprised him with a message from cricket legend AB de Villiers.
According to the young cricket sensation Josh Anderson, he would like to follow in the footsteps of his hero, AB de Villiers.
And the grade eight student from Trinity House in Randpard Ridge might be closer to his dream than you think.

At a recent school match against St. John's College's U14B team, Anderson managed to set a new school record of 357 runs off 162 balls.
The U14 A-team captain also broke his personal record of 165 runs in 50 overs.
"To get that many runs made me happy," said Josh.
"Through cricket, I escape the daily stress of school work."

Trinity House posted a picture of the school congratulating him on his prestigious achievement.
"Congratulations to Josh Anderson on scoring 357 not out for Trinityhouse U14A vs. St John's U14B," they wrote.
According to News24, Anderson represented the Gauteng Lions at U13 level in 2023 and was also the team's captain.
He also represented South Africa in indoor cricket last year.
