Awkward TV blooper gets the world talking

One thing the world loves is a blooper in-between the seriousness of news.

Virtually all newspapers in Egypt ran the same 42-word story on the death of Mohammed Morsi. He was an Egyptian politician who served as the president of Egypt until 2013. 

The story, however, was WhatsApp’d to news editors by a government official.

This TV anchor, reading from her teleprompter, did not check the story beforehand and ended her report with, ‘Sent from a Samsung device.’ She was visibly shocked when she realised what she had said.
