Beyoncé to remove "offensive" term from new album
Queen B has confirmed that she will remove an "offensive" lyric from her new album following backlash!
Another artist has once again come under fire for using a potentially hurtful and offensive term.
Superstar Beyoncé has received backlash over the term "spaz", which she uses in her new song, 'Heated'.

The same term was used by American singer Lizzo, which also prompted her to change the lyric after backlash.
According to Insider, Queen B was called out by disability charities and activists who called the lyric "ableist" and "offensive".
'Spaz', which is short for spastic, has been used as a derogatory term to refer to people with disabilities.

After the backlash, a representative for the Grammy-winning singer said the lyric would be changed. "The word, not used intentionally in a harmful way, will be replaced," the statement said.
