Golden Globes: The big winners and Martin Bester's response
Hollywood's biggest stars gathered on Sunday for the glitzy Golden Globes.
The celebrity-filled gala in Beverly Hills is billed as the most raucous event on the showbiz calendar, where the success helps create buzz ahead of the following month's Oscars.

The best in the industry got rewarded for their work.
Reneé Zellweger won 'Best Actress in a Drama' for her role as the legendary Judy Garland in 'Judy'.
Joaquin Phoenix won 'Best Actor in a Drama' for his role in 'Joker'.
Actor and comedian Ricky Gervais hosted the awards and joked about Jeffrey Epstein and Felicity Huffman.
"People are way too sensitive - and people don't laugh at themselves anymore," Martin Bester said.

Elton John and Bernie Taupin took home the 'Best Original Song' award.
The 'Candle In The Wind' hitmaker rang in 2020 with a new award when he received the Golden Globe for the 'Rocketman' original song, 'I'm Gonna Love Me Again.'
'Rocketman' star Taron Egerton beat out Leonardo DiCaprio, Daniel Craig, Roman Griffin Davis, and Eddie Murphy in the 'Best Actor' category.

In his acceptance speech, he thanked director Dexter Fletcher and producer Matthew Vaughn, but he had a special message to the icon he portrayed on screen: "To Elton John, thank you for the music, thank you for living a life less ordinary, and thank you for being my friend."
