A documentary about the life and career of legendary South African singer Brenda Fassie will premiere on Netflix.

The legendary singer and performer, also known as 'Ma Brrr', was famous for her hit singles 'Weekend Special', 'Vul'indela', and 'Nomakanjani'.

Fassie died at the age of 39 in Sunninghill Hospital on 9 May 2004 after allegedly overdosing on cocaine.
It was reported that the documentary is helmed by her long-time producer Chicco Twala.
