WATCH: Cabinet bursts into laughter as minister struggles to pronounce 'conscientiously'

On Wednesday, South Africa's newly formed Government of National Unity was sworn in during a televised ceremony in Cape Town.

President Cyril Ramaphosa finally announced his newly elected cabinet following heated negotiations between parties in the GNU.

Ramaphosa's new cabinet includes 32 ministers and 43 deputy ministers.

The first of the now larger cabinet to take their oath on Wednesday was re-appointed deputy president Paul Mashatile.

Numerous clips of the ceremony have been shared on social media, and in true South African style, many of the clips include hilarious moments from the ceremony.

One person who really stood out online was Minister of Water and Sanitation, Pemmy Majodina.

A clip of Majodina struggling to pronounce the word 'conscientiously' during her oath left South Africans in stitches.

Luckily, South Africans reacted in great spirit to the faux pas, saying that it is not an easy word to pronounce.

"I don't blame her, I just tried it and I saw flames." - @LifeOfASigma

"So what, I also struggle to pronounce some English words." - @dramadelinquent

"I don't think they are laughing at her, they were laughing with her. It’s the 'nantsoke' for me." - @qaqamb_a
