Cape Town Mayor leaves 'shady' remark after Bulls thrash Stormers

Breakfast with Martin Bester spoke to Cape Town Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis after the Vodacom Bulls beat the Stormers over the weekend.

Blue Bulls supporters are revelling in the excitement after this weekend's URC clash against the Stormers, where the Bulls walked away with a 40-22 victory.

On Monday, Martin Bester spoke to Cape Town Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis, a proud Stormers supporter, about this victory and the Bulls' performance during the match.

Martin Bester asked the mayor how he felt about the match.

The Mayor told Martin Bester that he welcomed the Bulls' victory as "no one should be able to beat the Bulls eight times in a row," referring to the team's previous string of losses against the Stormers.

Last week, Martin Bester spoke to Tshwane Mayor Cilliers Brink and the Cape Town Mayor to share their thoughts on the then-upcoming match. 

The pair went head-to-head with a lot of good-natured banter as tension rose about the upcoming match.
