According to BusinessTech, driving still trumps flying in terms of affordability in 2024.
For those travelling from Johannesburg to popular holiday destinations like Cape Town and Durban, a trip by car costs approximately R4,192 and R2,181, respectively.
Flights are significantly pricier, costing around R6,913 for a round-trip flight to Cape Town and R4,169 for a trip to Durban.
BusinessTech reported that lower fuel prices in 2024, compared to last year, added to road travelling being a more affordable option.
