Itumeleng Lekomamyane started a sandwich business to look after his child using his last R800 - and now makes R20,000 a month. This incredible dad shared his story with Breakfast with Martin Bester.
Itumeleng Lekomamyane (27) started his very own sandwich business to look after his child by using his last R800.
'Sandwich Nton Ntons' started in August 2019 when his clothing and embroidery business was struggling.
Lekomamyane grew his sandwich business in Johannesburg to a R20,000 a month business in six months.

Lekomamyane joined Breakfast with Martin Bester to share his inspirational story with us.
"I was unemployed, looking for a job and I had to do something. I started thinking, and then I decided to make sandwiches," Lekomamyane told Martin Bester.
“I had a choice to either pay my three-year-old’s daughter’s maintenance or use the R800 to start my business. I chose to rather risk it.
"I sleep every day between 13:00 - 20:00 to start making sandwiches in time to sell them by 04:00 in the morning.
"I am not able to afford food trucks at the moment - so right now I'm just focusing on selling it on the street."

According to Business Insider, JMPD confiscated the sandwiches because the City of Johannesburg is no longer issuing permits since Herman Mashaba resigned as mayor. Lekomamyane was told to pay R1 600 to get the stock back:
I'm upset the @JoburgMPD took Lindokuhles stock by Standard bank all of it and we are told to pay R1600 to get it back which is just a ridiculous amount for spoilt stock and @CityofJoburgZA told me they only issuing permits this year late March because Herman Mashaba resigned https://t.co/P1KKDmZW3x
