Doing the ‘Jerusalema’ challenge poses a health risk – Irish study

An Irish study found that the particular dance moves could damage the Achilles tendon.
A few studies confirmed the Irish study’s findings and it could happen to both social dancers and experienced dancers. Who knew?
The study was published in the International Journal of Surgery Case Reports.

The hit by Master KG and Nomcebo has been a global sensation and people from around the world are sharing videos of themselves dancing along to the hit song.
Towards the end of 2019, Nomcebo Zikode stepped into the studio as a vocalist with producer Master KG to create a song called, 'Jerusalema'.

Months later, the track has gone viral - and then some.
Nomcebo joined Breakfast with Martin Bester in studio to chat about her success and we did the ‘Jerusalema’ challenge… before we knew about the health risk!
While many were blown away by the success of the song, it came as no surprise to the singer!
