UFC Champion Dricus du Plessis is heading back to South Africa!
UFC champion Drikus du Plessis is returning home on 25 January 2024.
"Nou weet hulle wat ons weet," said Dricus 'Stillknocks' du Plessis after he made history by winning the UFC Middleweight championship against Sean Strickland at UFC 297.
The much-anticipated fight took place at the Scotiabank Arena in Ontario, Canada, on Sunday morning.
Du Plessis won by a split decision, 48-47, with two in the South African's favour.
Du Plessis is unbeaten in the UFC since his series debut in October 2020, racking up six successive wins to become the top contender in the division.
Following his victory, the MMA star will be returning home on Thursday, 25 January, at 07:25.
He will be landing at O.R. Tambo International Airport at Kempton Park.
To celebrate this amazing achievement, Martin Bester, along with TikTokker Peer Papsak, wrote a song for Du Plessis called 'Dricus Se Song'.
