Dricus du Plessis and Adesanya share heartwarming moment after fight
The UFC champion gave Adesanya a special gift while also thanking his parents for raising "a great warrior".
UFC champion Dricus du Plessis had the whole world talking after he managed to defend his title during his much-anticipated fight against his rival Israel Adesanya on Sunday.
'Stillknocks' and the Nigerian-New Zealand mixed martial artist had some unfinished business after they developed quite the rivalry leading up to their fight.
The rivalry created quite a buzz ahead of their UFC 305 fight, with many wondering who would emerge victorious.

In the end, Du Plessis managed to keep his title as UFC champion with a fourth-round submission from Adesnaya.
Despite their tumultuous relationship and Du Plessis' eventual win, the African fighters still managed to find camaraderie and practice good sportsmanship.
In a video that has been making the rounds on social media, the pair are seen having a heartwarming exchange.
During the interaction, Du Plessis gifted Adesyana his African-print jacket, which he wore during the match's pre-fight press conference.
"It was a gift for me from the Springboks captain and the South African captain," said Du Plessis while handing over the jacket.
Adesanya accepted the gift, saying, "I did like it when I saw you wearing it."

The pair parted ways like true gentlemen before Du Plessis also shared a heartwarming moment with Adesanya's parents.
"You guys are excellent parents. You've raised a great warrior. Thank you for raising a warrior," he told the proud parents.
