There has been a lot of controversy surrounding former Springbok player Elton Jantjies.
The most recent controversy that has made headlines across South Africa is allegations that the 34-year-old is currently homeless after being kicked out of the house by his mother.
According to The Citizen, this came after it was rumoured that the former rugby star had fallen behind on bond payments on his home in Bryanston.

Online reports claimed that Jantjies' eviction was a result of relentless partying, which included non-stop drinking, drugs, having sex workers over, and playing loud music throughout the night.
The former Lions player recently took to Instagram to debunk these sensational allegations by posting a video on the platform.
In the video, Jantjies, who strategically wears a very visible black-and-white Prada T-shirt, can be seen standing outside of his Johannesburg home.
Jantjies revealed in the video that these reports were false and that he is, in fact, not homeless and has never lived with his mother during this time.
"For the people that said I'm homeless, my mom kicked me out… It's actually a joke for me, to take those comments seriously. I see it’s all over the media," he said.
"I've got a house. I am not homeless. My mother didn't kick me out. I don't know what facts are behind all these things."

He then proceeded to give followers a brief tour of the inside of his house to show that he was not homeless.
Jantjies added that he feels it is the media's responsibility to apologise to his family and the public for the false information they have spread.
His mother, Elma, also responded to his post, commenting, "To God be the glory. You are God's favourite son, covered by his blood, son."
