'I Feel Good' kid Desmond Koolen performs 'We Are The Champions'

After his viral video in which young Desmond Koolen gave Springbok captain Siya Kolisi rugby advice, Breakfast with Martin Bester brought him back for more advice and a performance ahead of the Rugby World Cup final.
Seven-year-old Desmond Koolen has been making waves across South Africa. His videos have even gained international acclaim, garnering attention from celebrities like Will Smith and Wayne Brady.
Koolen first went viral when his mom, Adele Koolen, shared a video in which her son, Desmond Koolen, performed his adorable rendition of James Brown’s ‘I Feel Good’.
He then joined Breakfast with Martin Bester to perform the song and share his love for rugby.

The seven-year-old's mom, Adele Koolen, told Breakfast with Martin Bester that they took Desmond into foster care in 2020 when he was only three and a half years old. In 2021, the adoption was finalised.

According to Koolen, Desmond is an exceptional child with many interests and talents.
He enjoys rugby, football, playing PlayStation, and watching YouTube, but he is also excelling in drama and performing arts and did his first voiceover for Junglevites at age five.
The adorable young man also recently attended the SA Champs competition, where he walked away with 12 gold medals, eight silver medals, and one overall achievement award. He medaled for 20 out of 21 items.
