Fists fly at Loftus Versfeld during Springboks match
Updated | By Breakfast with Martin Bester
Not all supporters left the match in great spirits when the Springboks beat the Wallabies at Loftus earlier in 2023.
One thing is for sure, South Africans are extremely passionate about their sports, especially rugby, but some might be a little too passionate.
Video footage shared on Twitter shows the moment a fight broke out at a rugby match between the Springboks and the Wallabies earlier this year.
What a performance by the @Springboks however I’ll never attend another Rugby game in my life. Some oaks get a sniff of alcohol and they become prime Mike Tyson. They like to say we bad but what I witnessed today 🤢! Apologies to all the kids that were present. @News24 #loftus pic.twitter.com/OdpQIxf3jA

Despite the Springboks' 43-12 victory over the Wallabies, not all the supporters were in great spirits.
The clips shared on social media show fans shoving each other and throwing punches.
In a series of threads on Twitter, the fight gets progressively worse as tensions rise in the stands.

If this is what happens when the Springboks win, one can only think what would happen had we lost...
According to News24, The Blue Bulls Company (BBCo) apologised for the altercations that occurred at Loftus Versfeld during the Springboks and Wallabies Test.
"Whilst we had hoped for there to be zero altercations on the day, we, unfortunately, did receive one or two minor reports of disturbances emanating from physical altercations, but none of those resulted in injuries or hospitalisation," Hugo Kemp, the BBCo operations manager, told News24 in a statement.
