He has since penned songs for some of South Africa’s top artists, including Craig Lucas, DJ Kent, Pascal & Pearce, and Majozi, to name a few.
As a recording artist, Jethro has released a number of well-received singles which have reached multi-platinum and gold certifications. He has also received South African Music Awards nominations for 'Record of The Year' and 'Best Pop Album'.
Although primarily a singer-songwriter, Jethro has a background in theatre, having graduated from The Waterfront Theatre School where he majored in Drama & Musical Theatre.
Tait, performing as Buddy Holly, is leading an all-South African cast in the hit Rock ‘n Roll jukebox musical 'BUDDY: The Buddy Holly Story' live onstage at the magnificent Teatro at Montecasino.
On Friday Live, he showed off his Buddy Holly skills with his performance of 'Peggy Sue'.
Directed by the West End’s Nick Winston, this truly unique tribute musical follows the incredible journey of Buddy’s meteoric rise to the top of the record charts during the golden days of Rock ‘n Roll… BIGGER and BETTER than ever seen before on South African stages!
