Sammy is a multi-talented Seychellois artist who reportedly needs "no introduction to the Seychelles islands".
According to SeyBusiness' official website, Sammy was recently decorated as a "Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters" ("Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres") by the French government.

Sammy, who is also a television producer and journalist, is regarded as one of the best singers and songwriters in Seychelles.
