#FridayLive: Vernon Barnard wows with stripped down version of 'I Like It That Way'
Updated | By Jacaranda FM
In 2016, South Africa fell in love with Vernon Barnard's voice - and he has been wowing us ever since.
Vernon Barnard stole hearts during his unforgettable audition on The Voice: South Africa in 2016.
Barnard was born with glaucoma, a disease that damages the optic nerve and can cause blindness. While he could see relatively well as a small child, eventually, at the age of six, the disease left him blind. His passion for life and music led him to pursue his passions despite his circumstances.
I'm so grateful that I can share my passion with people. I just want to bring people together - through my music- Vernon Barnard
Since The Voice SA, Barnard has become a household name. He joined Breakfast with Martin Bester for this week's #FridayLive performance,
"The Voice SA feels like 10 years ago and it's actually just been 3 years. Things happen so quickly when you put yourself out there," he told Martin Bester.
