Golden rule: Do not tell people what you’re going to name your baby

“My sister stole my baby name and doesn’t want to give it back!”
Sharing your chosen baby name with others before you've officially named your child can cause all sorts of problems.
People can give their unsolicited opinion on the name you choose or they could blatantly steal the name!
It happened to a woman who decided to share her story with the world.

The woman said that she chose the name long in advance, and shared it with her sister
The sister, who was further along in her own pregnancy, decided to use the name for her own baby!
"She complimented me on it and then we didn't talk about it again," the woman wrote in her post.
"She gave birth to my niece five months ago and guess what name she used? That's right. THE name I had chosen so long ago."
