Instagram has a new hidden game in your DMs

Instagram launched a new secret game on the app and here's how you can play!
As if social media isn't already addictive enough, Instagram has launched a new secret game users can enjoy and spend even more time on the app with.
You might be asking yourself why they created this secret game, and the answer is no one knows.

The new feature allows users to play a game of pong in the app's direct message section.
The feature is available to users around the world and comes after the Meta-owned platform enabled users to edit messages, pin chats, and see read receipts.
Here's how it works:
Step one: Open the direct message section on the app and click on one of your friends.
Step two: Send any emoji you want to use to said friend.
Step three: Tap the emoji once (don’t hold it in) and see it become a bouncy ball.
Step four: Use the slider below to block the emoji and score points.
Note: You will score points after each hit while the game's speed gradually increases.

If you can't access the game, ensure you have the latest version of the Instagram app on your Android or iOS device.
