Thursday on Breakfast with Martin Bester the breakfast team celebrated all things 2000s for throwback Thursday.

In celebration of the 2000s we have compiled our list of the top 5 music videos from that era. This will include any music videos released from 2000 to 2009.
The 2000s brought us a diverse and groundbreaking selection of music and the music videos were no different. From iconic pop anthems, including extravagant costumes and make-up to inventive visuals and animation, the 2000s had it all.
Here is out Top 5:
5. Outkast: 'Hey Ya'
Directed by Bryan Barber the music video, which debuted in 2003 sees American rapper, André 3000 playing all eight members of the fictional band 'The Love Below'. He plays keyboardist Benjamin André, bassist Possum Aloysius Jenkins, vocalist André "Ice Cold" 3000, drummer Dookie Blossom Gain III, three backing vocalists the Love Haters, and guitarist Johnny Vulture while performing in front of a live crowd of screaming girls.
4. Pink, Mya, Christina Aguilera, Lil’ Kim: 'Lady Marmalade'
Released in 2001, this iconic music video sees P!nk, Mya, Christina Aguilera and Lil’ Kim performing the song with extravagant costumes and make-up. The music video for 'Lady Marmalade', was made to promote the song as well as the film 'Moulin Rouge'!
3. Gorillaz: 'Clint Eastwood'
The animated music video was directed by Jamie Hewlett and Pete Candeland. The video and song name is a reference to the famous western starring actor, Clint Eastwood, 'The Good, the Bad and the Ugly' with references to the film 'Dawn of the Dead' as well as 'Resident Evil'.
2. OK Go: 'Here It Goes'
This music video showcases the band in an elaborate performance, dancing on treadmills arranged in two rows of four and in alternating opposite directions. The video debuted on YouTube on July 31, 2006. It also won the 2007 Grammy Award for Best Short Form Music Video and the 2006 Youtube awards for Most Creative Video.
1. Lady Gaga: 'Bad Romance'
Directed by Francis Lawrence the final music video for 'Bad Romance' premiered on November 10, 2009. The video's main idea is that Gaga gets kidnapped by supermodels who drug her and sell her to the Russian Mafia for a million rubles. In true Gaga-fashion the music videos showcases striking choreography and elaborate costumes and make up.
