Joburg resident shocked as blue water allegedly runs out of taps

A new video on social media showing blue water running from taps has caused quite the stir...
A video shared on Twitter shows a woman, Ntombi M, holding a glass filled with blue water, claiming that the water came from her tap.
The woman wrote: "The little water coming out of our taps RN. It’s BLLLUUUEEEEE"

In a follow-up post, the woman also posted a video showing blue water running from her tap.

Mzansi responded to the posts with great concern, with many sharing concerns over the current state of the country.
"These are the last days indeed," wrote on Twitter user.
"In north riding it was like milk, like it was dosed with dettol," said another.

According to IOL, there is not much information surrounding the incident.
“Joburg Water has reached out and they will come assess the situation,” Ntombi said.
“It is suspected to be copper from the building. However, we will confirm once the results are issued from the lab which will be 24 hours after the samples have been tested,” said Joburg Water spokesperson Puleng Mopeli.
