Ewears also scored a Sony Music deal alongside the original singer and writer, Jermaine Edwards, after the remix broke music records.
The Jamaican boy, who is now 17, sang the song when he was ten years old while at his Jamaican primary school back in 2014.
According to David Scott (The Kiffness), he received more than 1,000 messages on social media asking him to remix the song.

“Like most videos, my fans send them to me on direct message and tag me across different platforms. I was sent this particular video at least 1,000 times. My initial thought was that I liked Rushawn’s delivery and I really enjoyed the message,” he said.
The now viral remix was released roughly a month ago.
