A KZN traffic officer was arrested and jailed after accepting an R800 bribe from a woman whose 'car lights were too close to her tyres'...
What would it even mean to have your car lights too close to your tyres?
Well, Sandile Lloyd Nene, 43, was sentenced to three years behind bars for accepting a bribe after he pulled over a woman whose 'car lights were too close to her tyres'.

Provincial spokesperson Natasha Kara confirmed that the traffic officer committed the offence back in August 2019 and has been found guilty.
“He told her that her car lights were too close to the tyres and that she could be liable for a fine of R800," Kara revealed.
“He then removed her car licence disc and withheld her driver’s licence as well. Nene told her that if she paid him the R800 directly, he would not issue a fine and, return her licence disc and driver’s licence.”

The complainant allegedly only had R200 with her. A trap was then set up for Nene while he was waiting for the complainant to withdraw the rest of the requested amount.
